1991: Raped Ape was one of 60 bands from around the region chosen to showcase for major labels at the inaugural Southeast Music Conference in Tampa. Other South Florida groups performing in the metal showcase at the Rock-It Club were Amboog-A-Lard, Cynic and Elysium.
